About Simran Oberoi

With over 22 years of experience in HR advisory, knowledge development, and research, I am a seasoned professional across global management consulting firms, in Compensation & Rewards, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Leadership Development and HR and Technology. As an Associate Director at Aon, Learning Center, I worked in content development, research and facilitation of client sessions, for building leadership and HR capability. I was also a certified Internal Assessor and part of the team of behavioral experts who conducted virtual Development Centers, client self-reflection sessions to coach their teams on learning how personality plays a role at work, sharing developmental recommendations and interpreting information about workstyle preferences and behavioral tendencies. In the past, I have driven, business growth for the company's Rewards data digital offering or Human Capital Analytics platform, across the South Asia region to deliver high-value pay insights to our clients. In 2014, after working in HR advisory for 11 years in a full-time role, I worked independently for the next few years across disciplines. This gave me the opportunity to expand my horizon and add valuable experiences like starting my career in academics, creating leadership training content, coaching women professionals on work-life balanceat key inflection points, mentoring women returnees, and developing compassion rating tools. My areas of focus during consulting assignments were compensation communication, change management, executive presence, emotional intelligence. I returned to a full-time corporate role in 2021. In addition to my corporate role, I am passionate about social entrepreneurship. I am the founder of Ovenderful, a healthy baking venture that supports social causes and communities and the globally recognized, award-winning Ovenderful Mom Bakers Community. I am also a visiting faculty at Goa Institute of Management and Mody University of Science and Technology, where I teach diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and co-teach HR Analytics and Talent Management. Furthermore, I am an Advisory Board Member of two non-profit organizations, Good Universe and Let's Educate Children in Need, that work on empowering women and children in India. I have also shared my insights and experiences as a TEDx speaker and a freelance content developer on topical H issues for various learning and development, consulting, and diversity and inclusion organizations.
