About Simran Sakhrani

I am a postgraduate in Medical Biotechnology with a strong foundation in molecular biology, gene expression studies, and clinical research. My academic and research experience has equipped me with both wet lab and analytical skills, including RT-PCR, RNA isolation, cell culture, and data interpretation. As part of my MSc research dissertation, I led a randomized case-control study on the expression of the 5-HT2A gene in anxiety subjects undergoing Heartfulness Meditation. This work combined molecular biology with psychometric assessments (GAD-7), reflecting my interdisciplinary approach to biomedical research. In addition to core biotech expertise, I have completed a diploma in forensic science and criminology, where I gained exposure to toxicology, crime scene analysis, and forensic diagnostics. I am also familiar with clinical frameworks such as hospital administration under public health schemes (e.g, MJPJAY), strengthening my awareness of healthcare systems.
