About Sindhu Ramachandra

What would you call someone interested in both biological and artificial brains? I'm a Biochemist who gets fascinated by teeny-tiny molecules bouncing off each other to create biomolecules within the boundary of living cells. How do proteins fold? How did viruses contribute to the evolution of mammals? How does the Sun impact on our circadian rythm? However I was also interested in coding. I have always wanted to learn to code. And my interest in science helped me understand the importance of pattern recognition. Who else understands patterns better than machine learning or deep-learning algorithm? These algorithms have answers to many problems we come across each day. They can answer rhetorical questions like what would be the weather like tomorrow? Who's most likely to win the FIFA world cup? Oh! And can also answer the most intriguing questions like how do proteins fold? Can we sequence the RNA of all the variants of Coronavirus and discern the patterns hidden among them using Data Science? and whatnot? All in all I've come to realize one thing. To understand the workings of microscopic neurons better we need the dense hidden neuron layers of Deep learning!
