About Sioned Taylor

Emigrated to Canada in August 2022. Last position in the U.K-I worked as a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities(SEND) Key Worker.Previous to this role I worked for four years as an Inclusive Learning Advisor for students with ASC and various learning difficulties at a Further Education college. I am a qualified and experienced teacher with a track record of student success working with students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds in addition to a variety of educational needs.I worked both in Wales and England and developed both curriculum sources for the schools I worked in in addition to partnership schools. I created resources for TES and mentored new teachers with a focus on literacy. I am a strong education professional with a Masters in Education(Equality and Diversity) from The Open University. This follows a degree in Psychology in addition to my teaching qualification which I gained a grade 1.I have also completed my studies in Special Needs leadership achieving a Distinction in each unit.I have research experience in the field of bilingualism and the impact of bilingualism and the impact of socio-economic factors on outcomes for young people. In addition to my work I’m an avid reader,with a key interest in history based fiction.I worked with groups of young people interested in Holocaust studies and delivered training/teaching during 4 day courses to Poland following my own teacher training at the Yad Vashem.I have volunteered at Mencap youth groups for people with disabilities and feel passionate about providing opportunities for all.
