I am a dedicated undergraduate student at North Carolina State University (NCSU) set to graduate in December 2023. Currently, I am gaining valuable experience as a Medical Assistant, which has allowed me to witness the profound impact healthcare professionals have on individuals and communities. My passion for making a difference extends beyond the clinical setting. I have had the privilege of serving as a volunteer scribe at Urban Ministries of Wake County, where I engaged with my community to serve and advocate on behalf of those affected by poverty. Through this experience, I learned the importance of not only providing essential resources like food and nutrition but also promoting holistic health and wellness while laying the foundations of home for those in need. As a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED), a pre-health honor society, I have dedicated many hours to service, further solidifying my commitment to making a positive impact in the healthcare field. My role as a pre-health officer in AED has sharpened my leadership skills, enabling me to collaborate effectively with peers and mentors to achieve common goals. I am enthusiastic about advocating for minority communities in the healthcare sector and am determined to contribute to the betterment of healthcare access and outcomes for all. My experiences have nurtured my dedication to this cause, and I am excited to continue my journey as a healthcare advocate and professional.
