About Sjoerd Groot

Connecting people and creating meaningful collaborations has always been a driving force in my professional journey. This passion is one of the reasons I currently work at VodafoneZiggo, a joint venture between Liberty Global—the world’s largest international TV and broadband internet company—and Vodafone Group, a global leader in telecommunications. In my current role, I represent VodafoneZiggo’s interests in the joint development and construction of telecommunication infrastructure across the Netherlands. This position allows me to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and ensure that our strategic objectives align with national infrastructure initiatives. Throughout my career, I've consistently focused on building bridges between people, organizations, and ideas. At Founders Carbon Network (fCN)—an exclusive network of influential business leaders—I facilitated connections among a distinguished community of entrepreneurs, CEOs, executives, public figures, athletes, musicians, and other high-profile professionals. My role was to foster relationships that sparked opportunities, innovation, and growth. In addition, I’ve collaborated with both multinational corporations and dynamic start-ups such as JDE Peet’s, Schiphol Airport, Bikkelhart, CleverCool and SPEENS. In these roles, I worked closely with customers, government entities, and professional organizations, often serving as a strategic link between diverse parties with different priorities and objectives. Over the years, I’ve developed broad expertise across various domains, including public and regulatory affairs, stakeholder engagement, client relations, sustainability, marketing & communications, data analysis, sales, HR, and FMCG. This multidisciplinary background allows me to approach challenges from multiple perspectives and deliver integrated solutions that create lasting value.
