About Skand Vijay

B2C: At Capacity AI, I’ve been focused on improving the quality and reliability of RAG-based answer engines: the kind that power enterprise knowledge search automation. I worked across data science, engineering, and customer teams to design an AI evaluation and observability layer that detects low-confidence results, improves ranking, and strengthens trust across millions of enterprise queries. The goal was simple: make GenAI outputs measurable, explainable, and business-safe. Before that, I worked on finance-tech modernization at Gap Inc, where I learned how to scale B2B SaaS solutions for global users. I led Financial workflow automation and saved millions in disruption risk. The experience sharpened my ability to map messy business processes, translate them into product requirements, and deliver value through analytics and automation. As a CMU MISM candidate, I’m deepening AI/ML and business foundations. Recent work includes Ad-Tech modeling of consumer behavior to understand how their purchase pattern changes if we block ads.
