About Skye Arnold

Skye Arnold '26 is a computer information system major with a passion for technology. Through her education, she's been fascinated with software and coding and aims to be a protector of cyber-attacks. She self-taught herself different coding languages and computer hardware components. Learning coding languages like JAVA, CSS, and PYTHON has helped Skye with her career path and she has many other skills adding to her areas of talent. Born in Albany, Georgia, Skye spent most of her life in a rural area and attended magnet(charter) schools. At age 14 she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to develop new customs, and pursue a bigger dream. In high school, Skye completed a Web Design and Film pathway course and earned a certificate for completion. She also had many AP and accelerated classes from 9th to 12th. She completed high school with a 3.0 GPA and graduated from Cedar Grove Highschool. Skye worked 3 jobs, mainly in retail to gain communication skills amongst strangers. These jobs helped her train to be observant, be a multi-tasker, be independent, and solve problems herself. Over the years Skye has improved her work ethic and created a plan to be successful in her career. Once 18 years old she began attending GSU to improve her cyber-security knowledge. Currently, as a sophomore in college, Skye plans to serve a big company in need of network security. She intends to carry the role across different companies to see where she fits best. Currently, Skye holds a GPA of 3.15 and plans to graduate in 2026. She is a full-time student on campus.
