About Skye King

My name is Skye King, I'm a German-Ukrainian immigrant to the United States who has continuously shown that determination crushes even the thickest walls. Growing up in foster care without a family was challenging, but I was not going to let my background limit my goals and aspirations. After moving into my first apartment at just 17 years old and graduating from high school, I decided to become a first-generation college student and move to the United States, completely on my own, because I wanted to change the narrative of my story. Despite my tough upbringing, I continue to overcome the challenges of being an immigrant to the United States, completely relying on myself in a foreign country. Hard work and placing a lot of importance on inclusivity, ambition, and empathy are my focus. I hope to inspire as many individuals as possible with my motivation, encourage them to chase their dreams and help them to believe in themselves.
