About Skyler Middler

I am a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder with a B.S. in Information Science and an emphasis in Technology Arts and Media. As the modern world and its many information technologies evolve, it has become clear to me that the relationship between people and computers has become inseparable. These systems present many difficult problems that require careful and precise exploration. It’s the difficulty of these problems that drives me to understand the effect that these connections of the information world have on the individual, culture, and society. While I initially started college studying computer science, due to my interest in these relationships, I decided to move away from grinding away at back-end coding to studying the more tangible connection technology has with people. My time studying computer science has given me a strong coding background, which when paired with information sciences allows me to explore the field with a foundational lens many others may have not gotten the opportunity to develop.
