About Smana Seradieu

I am Dr. Smana Seradieu, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) and a deep-rooted commitment to empowering individuals, families, and communities through compassionate care, advocacy, and mental health support. With over five years of dedicated experience as a geriatric social worker, I’ve had the privilege of supporting older adults and their families through complex transitions, discharge planning, and crisis situations—ensuring dignity, care, and quality of life at every stage. My broader career has also encompassed extensive work in crisis intervention, mental health counseling, program development, and organizational leadership. I am deeply passionate about creating systemic change in social services and mental health care, particularly for underserved and marginalized communities. As the Executive Director and Founder of Change for Haitian Youth, I lead initiatives that provide Haitian youth with access to education, mentorship, and critical resources. I am also the founder of Explore Ease, a venture dedicated to crafting immersive, culturally enriching travel experiences that foster connection, learning, and global awareness. I am especially passionate about mental health advocacy, education equity, community empowerment, and the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion. My professional journey is guided by the belief that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and support—and I strive to create lasting impact through every project, program, and partnership I lead.
