About Smit Patel

Graduated from University of South Florida in Spring 2019 with a Master of Civil Engineering degree with a concentration in Transportation Engineering, I have been working Osiris 9 Consulting as a Transportation Engineer in the Project Development and Environment (PD & E) department. I have worked for multiple PD & E Studies and Districtwide Contracts, in which I have gathered traffic engineering, transportation planning, roadway design and project management experience. I have developed great people skills along with confidence and presentation skills. I have become highly proficient with Synchro, MicroStation, SketchUp, Lumion, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, majority of the Microsoft 365 and Google applications, and Filmora. I have also attended several Florida Department of Transportation meetings and training sessions in which I talked to the staff for their requirements on certain projects and learned various concepts and aspects of the field. I have always had a knack for mentoring, using which I have trained every intern in my department. I have conducted several training sessions within my department and some with other departments as well. I like to have fun in what I do, to which I have learned how to operate a drone, hosted office olympics, planned trips, events and office game nights.
