About Smita Kudarikar

I’m a clean energy professional with 18+ years of leadership experience in designing and executing large-scale renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability programs within India's public sector ecosystem. My core strength lies in bringing policy to life—transforming high-level goals into implementable frameworks. At MAHAGENCO, I led the implementation of the MSKVY 2.0 scheme, anchoring over 1,041 MW of solar capacity across 82 substations using EPC and RESCO models. I’ve also worked on regulatory programs, energy audits, ECBC codes, rooftop solar in healthcare and education institutions, and bundling mechanisms for C&I consumers. My experience spans stakeholder alignment, public procurement, investment facilitation, and inter-agency governance. I’ve engaged with national missions, multilateral donors (GIZ, KfW), and contributed to state-level energy conservation policies. I bring both operational depth and a policy lens, backed by my Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy from NLU Delhi. I’m passionate about scaling climate solutions and enabling sustainable infrastructure through public-private coordination. I'm currently exploring leadership roles with institutions driving energy transitions, climate policy, and international development outcomes.
