About Smita Rouillard

I have led at every level of our organization – from sole department physician, to Chief, to Assistant Physician in Chief, to Chair of Gastroenterology, to Physician in Chief, to Associate Executive Director. In my current role as Associate Executive Director, I oversee over Procedural, Surgical and Perioperative Service Lines (30 areas of oversight). My decades of leadership experience have provided me with a unique perspective and expertise to craft actionable strategies for success- motivating teams to turn strategy into action. The cornerstone of my leadership is coupling grassroots idea generation with strategy. I am passionate about empowering physicians and other leaders to engage their teams in impactful work, driving key initiatives forward, supporting barrier removal, and propelling the work of our service lines. I listen and learn, and support our professional community by opening doors, breaking down barriers, and bringing equity to opportunity.
