About Smiti Sahoo

I am a sustainable finance professional with over ten years experience in impact investing, ESG, corporate strategy, research, business development and consulting. Currently, I am driving thought leadership around sustainability in the AWM industry as ESG Manager at PwC Luxembourg. In my previous role as Investment Manager at LGT Venture Philanthropy (Liechtenstein-based LGT Group's foundation arm), I worked on developing investment strategy, pipeline building and portfolio management for LGT VP's investments in India in the Education, Healthcare and Environment domains. Prior to this, I was an LGT Impact Fellow at Varthana, a provider of financing and advisory solutions in the affordable education sector, in Strategy, Advisory and Fund raising roles. Previously, I was at Goldman Sachs for 4.5 years, as an Associate in the Corporate Treasury function focusing on Funding and Liquidity Risk Management, and before that an investment research analyst, covering the Consumer Staples sector. I am an MBA graduate in the Business Management program at XLRI Jamshedpur with specialization in Finance. I have a B.Tech degree in Biotechnology from IIT Guwahati with prior consulting work experience at Deloitte and research experience at University of Basel in Computational Biology.
