I design algorithms where physics and optimization converge. There is always a bit of machine learning in the midst. At my current role, I am in charge of development of scientific computing pipelines for optimizing the performance DC-DC power converters. My work includes building surrogate models from simulation data, bilevel inverse optimization using Hessian-regularized solvers, and multi-objective control strategies deployed on embedded hardware. With a PhD in computer vision and algebraic geometry, and prior postdoctoral research in symbolic solvers and wireless systems, I bring mathematical maturity and practical experience in building high-performance, domain-aware ML systems. I’m especially interested in problems that combine structure, constraints, and uncertainty. It can be either inverse design, differentiable simulation, or symbolic-numeric pipelines.
