About Soban Ali

Soban Ali is an actuarial student working towards his associateship credentials. His passion for problem solving, using data, and continuously striving to better himself and others has brought him to McMaster University, where he is pursing a Honours Bachelor of Science as well as a double minor in Economics and Finance. He recently finished his co-op at Canada Life and is currently is working at Oliver Wyman where his contract was extended for another 4 months. He is searching for a full-time placements after graduating in May 2023. MY STORY:My past experiences as an actuary at Oliver Wyman and Canada Life have allowed me to develop and display my technical skills in MS office and GGY AXIS, as well as some of my soft skills such as multi-tasking, adaptability, and teamwork. Without a doubt, I would like to continue to pursue the actuarial route which is proven with my past experience and my completion of 4 SOA exams.In my full time role I would like to feel valued and part of a team where I can be mentored, improve and grow.
