About Socrates Soumelas

I learned about contract law, business management, and understanding human behaviour at University. I learnt how to ACTUALLY negotiate contracts, run a business, and deal with people of different types during my 20-year career in the music business. So, I was trained by the best; hitmen, in every sense of the word. My subsequent career as a Negotiation Consultant with The Gap Partnership offered a method to my madness and the chance to work with some of the most exciting professionals, B, and C-level managers from various domains of the economy, training them on how to negotiate effectively, or prepping them during their actual negotiations, analysing their results step by step, and planning with them their next moves. Now at KPMG, I work as a Senior Expert in the Operations Services team, helping optimise the preparation, the process, and the results of our contract negotiations, with the aim of maximising value for KPMG as well as our Business Partners. Yes, but who am I? Always excited about new ideas, new challenges,"the mountain top behind the next mountain top”. Need to keep my mind constantly busy. Love meeting new people, different mentalities, different countries and cultures. Adapt easily to new environments. Believe there is always at least one solution to every problem. Oh, yes! One more thing: Love food! Exercise, not so much.
