About Sofeem Nasim

At Mipro Oy, my journey has been marked by the continuous enhancement of rail traffic control systems through innovative features and functionalities, ensuring usability and efficient performance. Our team has raised the bar for system compatibility, integrating a diverse range of input formats and refining the development process through comprehensive documentation. My expertise in IT process automation and databases, honed over recent years, plays a pivotal role in writing and reviewing code that adheres to the highest standards of quality and maintainability. Additionally, my tenure as a doctoral researcher at the University of Oulu has been instrumental in fostering technical solutions for environmental monitoring, thereby contributing significantly to the field of environmental technology. As a researcher at University of Oulu, I develop and present technical solutions for environment monitoring and modelling, collaborating with other researchers and environment specialists. I have a master's degree in applied computing, with a focus on ubiquitous computing, from the same university. My core competencies include machine learning, data science, mobile and wearable application development, ubiquitous sensor platforms, and REST API's implementation. I have successfully modelled and developed a pipeline solution to monitor parking sensor data, and implemented a wearable-based platform to predict the elements associated with environments. I have published 8 papers based on my research projects, and I am motivated by finding innovative ways to use technology to address real-world problems.
