About Sofia Ciuffoletti

Sofia Ciuffoletti has graduated in Law at the University of Florence and subsequently got a PhD degree in Constitutional Justice and Fundamental Rights at the Department of Public Law, University of Pisa, with a research on the phenomenon of Judicial Borrowing: the Transnational Dialogue between Courts. She has studied the constitutional system of India and she is currently involved in a research about the jurisprudence of the Inter American Court of Human Rights (with the UFPB University, Brazil). Since 2008 she has been teaching fellow in the course “Theory of Law” with Prof. Emilio Santoro, University of Florence and professor of “Introduction to Italian legal philosophy and legal theory (in english)”, in the 2011/2012 course. Since 2011 she has been teaching fellow in the course “Politics of Globalization”, prof. Lucia Re, ESA program, University of Florence, Faculty of Economics. She has been professor in the Course “International processes in the globalized world”, Association Il Freccione and professor of “Museum: Ethic and the Law” at the LdM-Marist MA program in Museum Studies (since 2011). Since 2005 she is member of L’Altro-Diritto-onlus (University of Florence), association for legal counseling and Research center on prison, deviance and marginality, Sofia Ciuffoletti has always been interested in the correlation between law and society at a National and International level. From 2001 to 2008 Art Director of the Auditorium Stensen foyer and member of Stensen/Staff, Stensen Institute for the promotion of culture, Sofia Ciuffoletti has begun to use her legal education as a tool for the development of italian young artists’ rights and consciousness.
