Hello LinkedIn family! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication in May 2024 as a public relations major, while completing a minor in event and experience management in addition to health communication. I am looking for a full-time position post-graduation to gain professional work experience while being able to contribute meaningful ideas to a brand as a young professional! In particular, I am hoping to find a role in which I can apply my public relations, event management, and health communication backgrounds. When I arrived at Virginia Tech, I enrolled as an undecided business student. However, I quickly learned that the economics, accounting, and finance courses that I was required to take were unfulfilling for the work environment I had pictured for myself after graduation. I knew that I enjoyed a business atmosphere that requires collaboration, communication, and teamwork, which is how I discovered the Virginia Tech’s School of Communication and the major of public relations! Being able to generate meaningful public relations campaign strategies, events, and messages for a client or organization will give me the opportunity to evaluate my work and efforts first-hand while helping others, which is a feeling that is truly rewarding. I am committed to continue gaining experience in a positive customer relations environment while contributing to an organization’s success through personal responsibility and teamwork.
