About Sofia Dallorso

My mission is to work on something impactful to improve people's well-being. I consider myself a player of the infinite game and I want to actively create win-win solutions where everyone wins: the customer, the user, us, the world. I’m currently focusing on MedTech R&D because it fits with my simultaneously technical and caring personality. During my PhD in engineering applied to neuroscience, I combined analytical skills with hands-on experience including mechanical design, sensors, software, data analysis and prototype building. Then I translated the acquired skills to the industrial Medical Device sector, joining varied projects and contributing from ideas and prototype development up to industrialization. I possess a holistic view which is particularly helpful in problem-solving and system thinking. SKILLS • Product development: from prototype to production, 3D modelling, injection molding plastic • Medical Devices: Design Control, Requirement Engineering, MDR, Risk Management • MRI expert: 5+ years of data collection, data analysis, and results interpretation; • Hardware: prototyping, 3D printing, maintenance and improvement of devices, troubleshooting, technical support; • Software: MATLAB, FMRIB (analysis tool for imaging data), Bash, SolidWorks, LabView, SPSS Statistics C++(basics), Python (basics); • Communication: teaching, presentations at international conferences, university seminars, 7 scientific publications; • Team-work: established collaborations with multiple universities and teams (Chalmers University of Technology, Imperial College London, Kings' College London, Columbia University, Guy's and St Thomas' hospital, Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Together Tech AB, Mölnlycke Health Care AB).
