About Sofia Ganchas

A retired ballerina with a strong interest in Finance: what a combination! Yet, both share the same traits: resilience, flexibility and management, to obtain an outstanding performance. Currently working as a Financial Consultant at Deloitte Portugal, for the Strategy and Transactions team (former Financial Advisory department) in M&A and Corporate Finance, where I transform Financial data in order to perform Financial Analysis on companies and provide inputs for Financial Due Diligence reports, among others! I have worked with clients across multiple industries (e.g. Health and Pharma, TMT, Industrials, Constructions, etc) and countries (e.g. Portugal, Spain, France, UK, Angola, Mozambique, etc). Occasionally, I get the opportunity to participate in Talent Attraction events at universities, both as a guest speaker (e.g, FEP Alumni careers, FJC Career fair) and jury representing Deloitte Portugal (e.g, FEP Master´s Challenge), where I can connect with multiple stakeholders. After completing the MSc in Finance and the BSc in Economics, both from FEP, and a semester at EDHEC Business School for the MSc in Corporate Finance and Banking, I am curious on the areas of M&A, Private Equity, Data Analysis, Investor Relations, People, among others.
