About Sofia Georganas

I am a media-maker and communications specialist based in Naarm (Melbourne). My work spans across various mediums, including written, audio, and visual media. I have collaborated with iconic organisations including McClelland Gallery, Disorganising Co, and RMIT's The Capitol. My professional attitude is modelled on personal values of responsibility, accessible communication, and organisation. I value -and exercise- empathy, respect, and accountability in my interactions with others. I have a strong background in project management and conflict resolution. For the last few years alongside studying I have worked as a vocational employment counsellor and support worker in the disability industry. In this position I take a person-centred approach to my work that reflects in the manner I listen, assist, and advocate alongside my clients. I have created individualised behavioural strategy plans, provided all aspects of personal care, and provided employment counselling including workplace-readiness training.
