Hello, I'm Sofia. I was born in Canada and raised in Texas. I have a passion for traveling, playing music, golfing, learning about technology, cooking, and ice-skating. So far, I have explored 11 countries; the United States, Mexico, Honduras, French Polynesia, Ukraine, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Canada, the Bahamas, and Great Britain. Some of my professional interests include investment banking, portfolio management, venture capital, private equity, and hedge fund management. Currently, I am a junior majoring in Finance at the University of Texas at Dallas. My coursework has empowered me to develop and enhance skills in budgeting, modeling, research, communication, and presentation. Additionally, my classes have also familiarized me with various tools such as Tableau, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I thrive on facing challenges that allow me to grow both professionally and personally. Beyond my professional ambitions, I enjoy activities that help me unwind and maintain balance. I value moments that give me a chance to step away from my regular routine and explore new experiences and perspectives. Whether it’s playing the guitar, traveling, or going to the golf course, these activities provide me with fresh insights that spark my creativity, enhance my motivation, sharpen my critical thinking, and reinforce my determination.
