About Sofia Leonardo Neghat

As an aspiring environmental scientist, I am interested in pursuing field research to help address environmental issues. Currently I am enrolled in an Environmental Studies degree with a focus in Sustainability. I have developed a foundation in key Environmental Studies areas such as geography, environmental policy, anthropology, and spatial data research using ArcGIS programs. Other than my degree, I actively seek opportunities to apply and increase my knowledge. I have participated in fieldwork with sea turtles in Costa Rica and completed the National Society for Leadership and Success certification. I am particularly interested in climate change mitigation research and the conservation and preservation of biodiversity in arctic and marine regions. I am eager to collaborate with like-minded organizations for advancement in these areas and spread awareness of environmental issues. As I prepare for the next phase of my career upon completion of my degree, I am interested in exploring internship or entry-level opportunities that will allow me to further develop my skills.
