About Sofia Madaleno

I was born and raised in São Miguel, a breathtaking island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. At the age of 18, I embarked on a journey to Lisbon to pursue my academic education, overcoming numerous challenges through hard work and perseverance. By the age of 21, I ventured to a small town in northern Germany as part of the Erasmus program—an extraordinary experience that introduced me to a new culture, allowed me to practice a new language, and even change my lifestyle. In my final year of college, when i was 23, I moved to Porto, where I conducted my master's thesis for one of the country's major industrial players in the Energy, Mobility, and Systems sector. After that, I joined Worten’s Digital Transformation Program, where I contributed to initiatives aimed at turning Worten into a truly digital company with physical stores and a human touch. It was a hands-on experience that helped me grow in an agile and fast-paced environment. Today, I work at EDP as a Business Analyst, where I gather and translate business requirements into actionable insights for development teams working in Scrum. It’s a role that perfectly aligns with my passion for connecting business goals with technological solutions. My journey has been one of continuous learning, growth, and embracing new environments — each step adding value to who I am as a professional and as a person.
