About Sofia Marshak

I am a passionate and experienced medical professional with a diverse background in both academic research and clinical laboratory settings. My journey began when I graduated from medical school in Moscow, where I gained a solid foundation in clinical medicine.Following my graduation, I went on to complete a PhD in molecular biology in Israel, where I developed a strong interest in molecular diagnostics and genomics. I then moved to the United States to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental neuroscience at UC Irvine, where I gained valuable experience in experimental design, data analysis, and project management.After completing my postdoctoral fellowship, I transitioned into the clinical laboratory field, where I worked in research and development before obtaining licensure as a Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist (CGMBS), as well as an MB (ASCP) license and an MT (AAB) license. I am now a clinical laboratory supervisor, where I oversee laboratory operations, manage staff, and ensure that all laboratory procedures meet regulatory and quality standards.Throughout my career, I have been committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and technological advancements in my field.
