About Sofia Mavrokostidou

With over 32 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, I am a Program Manager at Ericsson, where I leverage my MSc in Engineering Physics, my experience and skills in testing, integration, and transformation, combined with my power skill of respecting, understanding and efficiently collaborating with people, to deliver high-quality software solutions for our customers. As Transformation Leader at Ericsson, I led a global teams of experts to drive operational excellence and efficiency across the organization. As Director and Head of DNEW Japan at Ericsson, I was responsible for identifying and driving the strategic improvements necessary to secure our customer expectations on SW quality, facilitating successful business opportunities launching 4G and 5G with two of our customers in Japan. As Line manager in many different positions, I secured effective and sustainable capability in the area of my responsibility optimizing the outcome to be valuable for the full flow towards the our customers. As program manager for data analytics of our internal NWs data, i initiated the collection of and development of data analytics capability and the proactive insights supporting us to secure quality in our SW products. My core competencies include program management, SW Development and Quality management, customer relationship management, strategic planning, and cross-functional global collaboration. I am passionate about innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, and I strive to create a positive impact in the telecom industry and beyond. I am also fluent in English, Swedish and Greek, and I enjoy learning new languages and cultures. Most of all i enjoy the meetings with a smiling customer happy for the result of our cross company open and transparent collaboration delivering what is needed to secure theirs and our companies business.
