My name is Sofia, I’m a Zillennial, but before I figured that out, I used to call myself a "walking contradiction" because I’ve got these two sides of me that people think are total opposites. I am Catholic and also part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Talk about breaking stereotypes, right? I hold the role of Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Disability Manager at WINDTRE, definitely a cumbersome job title, but necessary. In the business world, my challenge is to promote initiatives to boost the corporate inclusion culture and celebrate diversity in the workplace. For the longest time, I confused my hearing loss with a condition of disadvantage until I realized that not catching every word or be disturbed at night because of mosquitoes “is like a reward”.
