About Sofia Trotti

I am currently working as a Junior Consultant at UN Women and as an Advocacy Assistant at IPPF European Network in Brussels. I hold a Master's degree in International Relations at La Sapienza University of Rome, integrated with Erasmus+ Program at Sciences Po Lille studying International and European Affairs. I am extremely motivated to gain experience in the international field and grow professionally. I previously worked as a Project Assistant at Adecco Foundation for equal opportunities and the promotion of the values ​of diversity, equity, and inclusion. From May to July 2023 I worked as an intern at the New Zealand Embassy to Italy where I had the opportunity to come in contact with different UN Agencies based in Rome such as FAO, WFP, and IFAD. I have a particular interest in Gender Policies and I would like to work towards reducing inequalities in the future since I truly believe gender equality is crucial for sustainable development. In July 2021 I graduated from the University of Padua in Political Science, International Relations Human Rights. Furthermore, I had an amazing experience working as a Delegate at the Model United Nations (MUN) strengthening important skills such as negotiation, public speaking as well as problem-solving techniques. I have been an AIESEC volunteer as a Team Member in the Management section.
