About Sofia Visenjou

Being an Architect in Lisbon has many complex challenges, yet an enormous amount of satisfaction involved, when it comes to creativity and technical specifics, working in various kinds of environments, with different teams and clients. It requires a high level of prudence and patience to experience a project's growth that may begin with a simple conversation. With previous experience in Project Management in Lisbon during a pivotal period where the city was under a major change - as for the housing market, refurbishment and reconstruction of the city even - I saw an opportunity in absorbing the most of it, targeting my practice in that sense. During this period as a Senior Architect, I was responsible for 360-degree construction and project management subjects, each one with its singular particularities, coordinating not only the creative part of the intervention but also all Administrative needs regarding Licensing in municipality, Engineering Projects and the actual Construction of what began simply as a project intention. After 10 years working as an Architect, along with the changes within the market, I decided to change directions in my career, having integrated the Business Advisory team in Arcadis as an Architect Consultant, aiming to achieve experience in client Advisory on asset transaction and in Project Monitoring, in collaboration with an international and multidisciplinary team.
