About Sofie Fredriksson

Licensed audiologist, PhD in medicine, BsC and Msc in Audiology. Graduated in 2008 from the Audiology programme and received a one year master's degree in audiology in 2011 at the University of Gothenburg. Finished my doctoral thesis (PhD) in 2018. Currently have a researcher position at the department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg (The School of Public Health and Community Medicine). My research is carried out mainly within the research group Sound Environment and Health and concerns effects on hearing and health from exposure to loud sounds and noise within communication-intense workplaces in the schools and health care sector. Also, part-time clinical position as a licensed audiologist at Habilitering & Hälsa, Hörselverksamheten Sahlgrenska sjukhuset. I also have experience from teaching at the bachelor Audiology programme and the medical Doctor programme, mainly within audiological diagnostics, linguistics/communication, and noise-induced hearing disorder and prevention.
