About Sofie Gillesberg Raiser

I have a strong technical background in public health with an emphasis on intervention epidemiology, health communication, neonatal, child and adolescents health. I have strong analytical skills and the ability to work strategically. I have experience in surveillance and outbreak management of infectious diseases and in the development and implementation of M&E strategies as well as research to inform planning and policy making combined with strong health advocacy and networking skills that I used to influence national level policy and strategy making. I enjoy working with international and national partners as well as Ministry of Health Programmes within integrated programming and health systems strengthening to attain National and international goals ranging from research to inform policy to formulating, implementing and evaluating surveillance systems and interventions to improve health. I aim to create a good interpersonal and team-work environment in all the different settings I work in.
