About Sofie Kika

Ms. Sofie Kika is a highly experienced professional specializing in international development, particularly in the fields of energy, management, and strategic communications. With over twenty years of involvement in the energy industry, she has collaborated with various organizations and projects, including with the Prime Minister's Office, Kosovo Core Development team, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Tetra Tech USAID funded project, Triangle GC Inc, European Union office in Kosovo, Kosovo Trust Agency EU founded project, ESB International, and more. Ms. Kika possesses profound knowledge of overseeing intricate energy projects in the Balkans and beyond. Currently, she holds the position of Renewable Lead for Objective 3 in a USAID-funded project called Energy Sustainable Activity (ESA), implemented by Tetra Tech. Additionally, she served as a Project Manager at Triangle CG Inc, managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects in the Balkans. Previously, Ms. Kika held roles such as Task Manager for the energy and transport sector at the European Union office in Kosovo, supporting the development and implementation of sectorial assistance programs. She also worked at the Kosovo Trust Agency, supporting the Head of Energy Office and later Deputy Managing Director's office in managing the energy infrastructure division. Prior to that, she worked as an Office Manager at ESB International, overseeing their Kosovo project while assisting other organizations such as SwedPower/Vattenfall, Rheinbraun, EDF, VEAG, MVV, Decon, and Mott McDonald in similar capacities. Ms. Kika has extensive experience in managerial responsibilities, including efficient business operations, administration of donor-funded projects, stakeholder and institutional liaison, project monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and implementation. She is a proactive and self-motivated professional with exceptional organizational and analytical skills, and she has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning. Her key strengths are team management and effective communication, deliverables management, and cost and schedule management. Ms. Kika holds an Master (MA) on Management and Informatics from the Riinvest University and has also a Law Degree from the University of Prishtina. She is fluent in English, Albanian, Bulgarian, and Serbian.
