Hi! My name is Sofie Nguyen and I specialize in fashion design. I have earned my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Fashion Design, along with a minor under the Whitman School of Management Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises program. My most notable achievement of this year is my thesis senior collection (as seen in my portfolio website: sofienguyen.myportfolio.com), which specializes in garment construction, creative conceptualization, and hands-on tactility, pattern-making, and draping. This led me to earn the Joan Ruitzsky Prize for Excellence in Surface design, which led me to showcase my work at the Syracuse University Design Spotlight at the Lubin House in NYC. With experience in fashion buying, design, and styling and further education from London College of Fashion, I have perfected my craft in drafting, textile selection, and editorial work, complemented by work experience with brands like Wasteland, Elaine Kim Collection, and J. Crew Group.
