About Sofie Pilemalm

I am Professor in Informatics at the Departement of Management and Engineering, Linköping University, Sweden. I am also the Director of Centre for Advanced Research in Emergency Manangement (CARER) an interdisciplinary research centre in the field of response systems for everyday emergiences and crisis management. Specialties: systems development, command and control systems, emergency management systems, crisis management, interorganizational collaborations, change management, methods development, user centred design, requirements engineering, e-government. I have 20 years of experience from doing research, business analysis and systems development in the public sector, with specific focus on e.g. emergency management, resilience, crisis management and command and control. I was employed for 8 years by the Swedish Defence Research Agency before returning to the university as research director. I also have vast experience of working in international environments, not the least in EU contexts. Since May 2021, I also hold a 20% Professor position at the Centre for Integrated Research in Emergency Response (CIEM), University of Agder.
