About Sofie Suter

As the Director of the Unaccompanied Children's Program at the International Institute of New England (IINE), I lead a bilingual trauma-sensitive case management team that provides support to immigrant youth clients throughout New England. I have over three years of experience in this role, and over six years of experience in the nonprofit sector. I am passionate about creating a safe and empowering environment for immigrant youth, who face multiple challenges and barriers in their new communities. I leverage my skills in independent research, social networking, and organization to identify and coordinate the best resources and services for our clients, such as education, health, legal, and family reunification. I also hold a Master's degree in Conflict Resolution, a license in social work, and a certification in yoga teaching, which help me to foster a culture of collaboration, resilience, and wellness within my team and across the organization.
