About Sofija Djuricic

Growing up as a high-level basketball player, I have developed an unbreakable bond towards physical fitness and overall well-being. Through educational practicum, varsity sports and individual coaching, I recognize the impact mental health has on physicality albeit positive or negative. I learned to balance its symbiotic relationship and strive to educate others on the same, with the ultimate goal of helping people feel the most connected to themselves on a mental, physical, and spiritual level. In my fifth year of Teacher Education, I am well-versed in the fields of anatomy, education, nutrition, physiology, and seek opportunities to learn everyday. I have experience macro-managing classroom environments, fitness classes, and basketball teams, while micro-managing individuals in personal training and physical therapy settings. Each of these experiences have allowed me to empathize with individuals from all walks of life to enhance their mental and physical well-being.
