About Sofina Hibbeln

I recently graduated from Arizona State University in December with a Bachelor's Degree of of Science in Biological Sciences. Originally from Michigan, I had the privilege of living abroad in Milan, Italy, and later Shanghai, China, which shaped my global perspective and adaptability. My passion lies at the intersection of public health, biology, and the transformative power of sports in building communities and enhancing individual well-being. Which I will be continuing to pursue in the Fall of 2025 at Sacred Heart University, where I will earn my Masters in Public Health, while playing D1 NCAA Rugby. I have held leadership roles as the President of the ASU Women's Rugby Team and Director of Campus Affairs for ASU Sport Clubs. Both which have given me experience in budget division, marketing, sports management, community outreach and more. In addition to my professional experience, I have worked as an intern with Desert City Classic, where I gained hands-on expertise in event planning, community involvement and the ins and out of sporting events. My experience also includes extensive involvement in sports camps and youth rugby programs across diverse age groups in both the US and International Schools. I recently accepted a job as the Community Development Associate for Premier Rugby Sevens. Through these experiences, I have developed strong leadership, organizational, and cross-cultural communication skills, and I am driven to apply these skills in impactful ways.
