About Soha Afifi
With over a decade of experience in fashion design education, I specialize in teaching digital fashion design, apparel construction, manual and digital pattern making, and sustainable fashion practices. I hold a PhD in sustainable swimwear design and a Master’s in Clothing Ergonomics. Since 2014, I have taught various apparel design and technology units, emphasizing technical precision, creativity, and sustainability.I am passionate about sustainability in fashion, with my research and practice focusing on zero-waste techniques, drawing inspiration from cultural heritage.My latest collection, created during the Intermix Residency in Riyadh July- October 2024, is inspired by Najd architecture, blending traditional design elements with innovative zero-waste methods using CLO3D.Beyond teaching, I actively participate in creative residencies, collaborative projects, and research, constantly pushing the boundaries of fashion towards a more sustainable future.
