I’m currently working as a Compliance Technical Specialist dealing with technical interpretation and providing field audit guidance with regards to Canada's new Clean Energy ITCs. Previously, I was an International Tax Auditor at the Canada Revenue Agency and focusing on International & cross border compliance with regards to Transfer Pricing, FAPI, FA rules, Tax shelters & Tax avoidance. I have been previously employed as a Corporate Accountant at IMT Corporation; a company well diversified in the Manufacturing Industry. Reporting directly to the CFO, I have worked on consolidation of multiple reporting entities and conversion of financial reporting standards from ASPE to IFRS. Along with consolidation, I was responsible for the treasury functionality, internal controls, training, corporate reporting and implementation and review of Dynamics AX 2012 ERP system. Apart from my role at IMT, I have also worked as an accountant at OpenText in their Treasury & Intercompany department overseeing the company’s numerous multi-currency accounts and ensuring that cross entity transactions are recorded and reconciled properly. Before joining OpenText, I worked for You're Next Inc — a small corporation that owns a chain of restaurants in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region.
