About Sohang Patel

I am a mechanical engineer with a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Guelph and a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD), finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and quality control (QC). I am passionate about learning new technologies and skills, and applying them to real-world problems and challenges. In my most recent role as a CAD Designer at Reversomatic Manufacturing Ltd, I created and refined machining parts and assembly drawings for various HVAC projects, using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor. I also used HAP software to design diffusers and ducts according to ASHRAE regulatory compliance. I collaborated with different departments to propose best solution offerings to customer requirements, such as consulting engineers and contractors. Previously, I worked as a Quality Inspector at TRIGO, where I performed inspections and testing on automotive components and products, using quality tools and documenting results. I also improved the efficiency and performance of existing products by applying my FEA and CFD skills. I enjoy working in collaborative environments where I can contribute to cross-functional teams and achieve common goals. I am also motivated by teaching and mentoring others, as I demonstrated in my role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Guelph, where I facilitated lab sessions, provided feedback, and supported students with their coursework.
