About Sol Chung

Through the PhD and MPhil courses, I have gained invaluable experience in the preparation of my research projects in the field of behavioural economics and finance and empirical economics. I have developed theoretical knowledge of models of rational and non-rational financial decision making and expertise in econometric methods in identifying and estimating complex choice models. I designed focus groups and an online experimental survey using stated preference research methods. I have acquired strong analytical skills by working with the focus group data, stated preference data, attitudes and perceptions of participants, psychological and demographic and transaction data in a large representative sample of Australian households. Also, I have achieved effective academic writing skills and highly developed communication skills including competency to make presentations at conferences. I am now looking to build on my extensive range of research interests and skills. I am also motivated to achieve further academic experience, especially in the field of household finance and experimental/behavioural economics.
