About Solene Jomier
I am a Researcher on peace and security issues at the GRIP, a non-profit think-tank based in Brussels, BE. My current research focuses on UN peacekeeping operations, conflicts in Africa (mostly Sahel region, great lakes), as well as armement - including armed drones. More info in my list of publications. Since 2022, I took the lead on the "Observatoire Boutros-Ghali", a multi-year project that aims to foster analyses and debates among francophone actors - TPCCs, UN DPO, field professionals - on the future of UN peacekeeping operations. Previously, I've worked on terrorist violence and insurgency as an analyst for the private sector. I've also volunteered at YPFP Brussels, for which I organised monthly events and supervised the Security and Defense Team. I hold an MA in International Relations from the University of Warwick (UK) and a diploma from the Political sciences institute (IEP) of Rennes, France.
