A graduate of Mass Communication with a post graduate diploma (Mass Communication) in view, I am a behavior change expert who has worked in partnership with Society for Family Health (SFH) from 2007 to 2010 as a program field officer during the Comprehensive Integrated approach to HIV Prevention and Care (CIHPAC) intervention, and also Family Planning Community Mobilizer. I was saddled with the responsibility of training Peer Educators (PEs) using the PEP manual, creating demand for and providing HIV counseling and testing services, Family Planning advocacy and social mobilization at community level in the sites selected for the intervention. As a community intervention expert, I have been engaged in various behavior change and behavior maintenance sites where I facilitated, with support from the team, the formation of fully registered and functional Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to buttress sustainability plans in all selected sites. I also was saddled with the responsibility of coordinating sales of health products through social marketing strategy and placement of products in facilities and Non-Traditional-Outlets (NTOs).
