About Soma King

I am passionate about healthcare data and what we can learn from it. I have worked for large healthcare payor orgs within finance, data science and engineering teams over the years. Currently I work within the consumer analytics and behavior change org at CVS health. I support multiple B2B products and lead a team of several data scientists, aimed at driving CVS’s RxGrowth portfolio. The team I lead uses data driven insights to inform product development and builds scalable solutions to optimize product performance. In the past, I have taken deep dives in specific healthcare areas such as fraud waste and abuse( FWA), claims processing, equity in healthcare and PBM (pharmacy benefit manager) pricing. My journey in data science and machine learning started during my rigorous academic journey as a physicist. I trained academically as a computational astrophysics during my PhD and postdoc. I have many publications (10+) in peer reviewed journals. skills and focus: technical leadership, product development, people management, stakeholder management, python, SQL and cloud computing Passionate learner and enjoy learning about the generative AI algorithms, tools and application of genAI in healthcare.**some of my peer reviewed articles in physics are in the publication section.
