About Sonali Dhulap

Few people get a second chance at life to live their passions. After three years of working in the research field, I decided to switch careers in 2013 and I have not regretted that decision since. I worked at Cricbuzz.com for over two and the half years and handled a variety of things. I initially did a lot of text commentary and then subsequently moved to the editing team. I was involved in maintaining player profiles, editing agency reports and writing match previews, match reports, match blogs as well as feature articles. I also handled their social media. For over three years after that, I worked as a Producer for Star Sports and was involved in the production of various live and non-live shows. My work involved planning shows, writing scripts, shooting, checking the final packaging, overseeing a TV show from start to finish. I learned how to use video editing and graphics softwares. I believe that it is a skill which can be effectively used for websites as well. I then joined Cricket Properties Ltd and handled their Wisden brand. The work also involved handling the International Cricket Council website and social media. I covered the 2019 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Dubai. In 2020, I travelled to Australia to cover the Women’s T20 World Cup. For over last six years, I’ve managed the ICC account. My day-to-day work involves managing the ICC website and handling the social media channels. I am also an artist and a fitness enthusiast. Since turning to a healthy lifestyle in 2017, I’ve done a foundation course in fitness and nutrition and a certificate course in children’s nutrition.
