About Sonali Mukherjee

With over 26 years of extensive academic experience across reputed schools and universities in India and abroad, coupled with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in curriculum development and academic administration, I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to your school’s vision and academic excellence. I am currently serving as a Cambridge A Level Economics Teacher at Sampoerna Academy, Indonesia, where I actively contribute to student engagement, curriculum enhancement, and innovative teaching strategies. Previously, I served at Sarala Birla Academy, Bangalore, and GMIS Jakarta – an IB World School, facilitating IBDP, IGCSE, and CISCE programmes. Prior to my international school experience, I spent over 17 years as an Assistant Professor at Daly College Business School (affiliated to De Montfort University, UK) and Bhopal School of Social Sciences. These diverse experiences have enabled me to gain a deep understanding of academic leadership, cross-cultural communication, examination processes, student mentoring, and the management of academic teams. I have consistently worked on improving teaching–learning outcomes, implementing student-centered methodologies, and supporting teachers through structured academic planning, assessments, and professional development initiatives. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to building positive learning environments, mentoring both students and teachers, and managing academic processes with integrity, collaboration, and strategic focus. I have also coordinated various inter-school activities, Round Square events, and MUN competitions, thereby supporting holistic student development.
