About Soni A.

Hi, I'm Soni and I am an Learning Experience Designer. I create learning experiences for adults to help them understand concepts in a creative and concise way through using my Instructional Design expertise. I graduated from Mercer University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communication. I also recently gained my Master of Science in Education in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University. As an Atlanta native, I have a passion for creating content through video, eLearning authoring tools, and documentation tools that will help grow positive responses towards online courses or trainings. I have past experience in the Instructional Design field working for companies such as The Federal Reserve, SITA, and Primrose Schools. With these past experiences I had exposure in learning about various industries such as airline technology and childcare, and how to create effective documentation, videos, and online courses for learners. This led to my current position as an eLearning designer, where I am using multiple multimedia elements (infographics, video, learning boards) to make engaging online professional development courses for adult learners. I am a self-directed learner and I'm always finding ways to improve on the skills that I currently have, and to learn new skills. I'm currently working on growing my skills in graphic design in Adobe Illustrator and video production in Adobe After Effects. I am also learning about how to design accessible learning experiences for learners in softwares such as the Articulate 360 Suite (Rise and Storyline) and Lectora.
